Biography: Dr. Aishwarya Thakurdesai completed her MBBS from
Seth G. S. Medical College in Mumbai, India and is presently an Internal
Medicine Resident at the University of Louisville in Kentucky, USA. Her
research interests are Hepatocellular Carcinoma and Alcohol-associated Liver
Disease. She has presented her scholarly work at premier GI conferences
including ACG, AASLD, and DDW. She has published more than 15 abstracts and in
renowned journals. Her work has garnered several awards and honors, including
the 2024 AASLD Foundation Emerging Liver Scholar Award. She is a peer reviewer
for ACG Case Reports and the Cureus Journal of Medical Science. Dr. Thakurdesai
aspires to pursue subs-pecialty training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology
after her residency training.
