Biography: Dr. Khan Ummiya Afreen is an Assistant Professor of Pathology based in Hyderabad, India, with expertise in surgical pathology, cytopathology, hematopathology, and clinical pathology. She is actively engaged in diagnostic reporting, medical education, and research, with special interests in oncopathology, hematopathology, and diagnostically challenging cases. Her work integrates histomorphology with immunohistochemistry and molecular diagnostics following international standards such as WHO, CAP, and AJCC guidelines. She is passionate about teaching, academic collaboration, digital pathology, and the evolving role of artificial intelligence in diagnostic practice and medical education.
